Metis Bali restaurant
Sunny surprised me with a wonderful birthday dinner at Metis Bali restaurant. We typically stick to local food while traveling to soak it all in but made a few exceptions while in Bali. Metis was one of them. It was hands down also one of the best meals we had in Bali. Opened up by French chef Nicholas ‘doudou’ Tourneville, the food is everything worth raving about. If you are in a mood to splurge or take a break from Indonesian cuisine, this would be the perfect place. Starting with the warm crunchy bread rolls with butter to complimentary birthday dessert everything on the table was delicious! We ordered trio tartar as an appetizer along with lobster ravioli and quail with foie gras for main entrees. If not for dinner, Metis also has a very swanky looking lounge/bar area facing rice fields. Its located in Seminyak area of Bali well known for good bars and local hangouts.
